San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival:
The anime costume parade was sponsored by Japan Video.
The weather was luckily pretty nice that day.
There were almost 100 costuming participants this year!
The parade started at the City Center and ended at Japan Town.
We were probably the only group that couldn't maintain our
three straight lines during the procession. Oh well, otaku
can't count I guess, cuz we had 5 mushy lines. LOL... Anime theme
songs were played on a stereo as we walked & it was a fun experience!
The costumes were judged before the parade and lots of prizes were
given out afterward. Everyone that participated got a consolation
prize! There were some really wonderful costumes.
I'm looking foward to attending again next year. ^__^
